Investment scale: including arrangement of construction items:
– Leveling 2 million m3 of land to an elevation of +3m;
– Internal traffic: grade III road, load capacity H18;
– Plant trees around and create natural landscape parks in the industrial park;
– Electricity and clean water supply system;
– Construction of multi-industry factories.
The Vam Cong Industrial Park project focuses on developing multi-industry, with priority given to clean industries, industries that cause little environmental pollution and use advanced technology: agricultural and aquatic product processing, construction materials production, information technology, electricity and electronics, garment, leather and footwear, etc.
Complete project legality: An Giang Provincial People’s Committee has issued a decision approving the detailed construction planning project at a scale of 1/500 of Vam Cong Industrial Park.

Where is the location of Vam Cong industrial park?

Vam Cong Industrial Park is located on Nguyen Van Cung Street, Long Xuyen City, An Giang Province. The project is located at the confluence of Hau River and Cai San – Gach Gia River, adjacent to National Highway 91 An Giang – Can Tho; only 3km from My Thoi – An Giang Seaport and 8km from Long Xuyen city center.

In terms of location, Vam Cong Industrial Park is located in the Southeast of Long Xuyen City. The project borders the inner ring road of Long Xuyen City to the Northeast, agricultural land and Vam Cong Urban Area to the Northwest, industrial park planning land to the Southwest and Muong Thom Canal to the Southeast.

In the future, when the project connecting National Highway 91 and the Long Xuyen city bypass with a total investment of more than 2,100 billion VND comes into operation, it will shorten the distance from Vam Cong Industrial Park to Long Xuyen City. At the same time, the Chau Doc – Can Tho – Soc Trang expressway project comes into operation (specifically the Chau Doc – Long Xuyen section) will reduce pressure on National Highway 91, attracting workers, experts, personnel… to live and work in the industrial parks here.

Currently, Vam Cong Industrial Park is 180km from Ho Chi Minh City, but with its strategic location in the region, along with the Trung Luong – My Thuan Expressway expected to be completed in 2021, it will shorten travel time, strongly promoting economic exchange between Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta in general and Long Xuyen City in particular.

Of which, land for construction of factories and enterprises is 72.04 hectares; land for construction of logistics warehouses is 29.99 hectares.

The land for construction of the operation center and service facilities has a total area of 15.41 hectares. Including the construction of an office building for the management of the industrial park; an exhibition center, event organization and highlight works; a hotel area to serve the needs of guests coming to work in the industrial park as well as Long Xuyen City; a trade union facility area (including cultural, sports and service facilities for workers, combined with the office of the Economic Zone Management Board); an area for housing for experts and workers.

Land for construction of technical infrastructure facilities has an area of 3.88 hectares, including: power station, water supply station, booster pump station, wastewater treatment area, solid waste collection and treatment.

Total traffic land area is 28.03ha, including internal roads and industrial park parking lots. Total green land area is 39.45ha; water surface area is 4.51ha.

It is known that An Giang province currently has 3 industrial parks put into use, including Binh Hoa Industrial Park (Chau Thanh district) with a scale of 132 hectares and a filling rate of 91%, Binh Long Industrial Park (Chau Phu district) with a scale of 30.57 hectares and a filling rate of 100% and Xuan To Industrial Park (Tinh Bien district) with a scale of 57.4 hectares.

The Economic Zone Management Board is also calling for investors to be interested in investing in the infrastructure of the industrial parks: Vam Cong Industrial Park, Hoi An Industrial Park (Cho Moi district) with a scale of 100 hectares, Binh Long Industrial Park expansion with a scale of 120 hectares, Binh Hoa Industrial Park expansion with a scale of 52 hectares, Binh Hoa Industrial Park expansion phase 2 with a scale of 32.95 hectares.

In particular, Vam Cong Industrial Park will be an industrial park focusing on developing industries (electronic manufacturing and assembly industries, agricultural and aquatic product processing industries with high-tech, modern and environmentally friendly applications) combined with logistics and warehousing services, with focused investment in construction with a synchronous and modern technical infrastructure and service system.

Regarding its role, Vam Cong Industrial Park will provide equipment for the treatment of waste and wastewater generated in An Giang; Change awareness about environmental protection of natural resources; Contribute to the development of the town and the whole province – expected to meet the employment needs of about 7,800 workers.
